New Contacts

Dear Family,
It has been an amazing week. Last week just as we finished emailing a lady came up to us and invited us to dinner. She is not a member of our faith but she lived in Utah and we all know how many Mormons there are in Utah. Then another guy came up to us and we gave him a church tour and taught him the first discussion. It was a neat experience.

This week we also helped one of the members in the ward Nephew move into a house. It was the nastiest thing I have ever done. It was a trailer house with holes in the walls and infested with cockroaches. It was not livable, but he thought it was. It amazes me how poor some people in our own country are. We joked that the house would make a good bonfire.

On Saturday we got transfer calls and I am happy I am staying in this area. I love it here! My debit card did go a little low on funds because I bought a cowboy hat, but don't worry I have enough. Some people do grow gardens here in Texas. It is real hot, but it rains often so that makes things nice. One of the members gave us a bunch of tomatoes, they did not last long with me eating them. It reminded me of our garden at home.

I am doing fine. My companion tests my patience sometimes but I just look for the best in things.
I love you all so much! Have a great week.

Love Always,
Elder Kershaw
