I've been meaning to send this email for a while now, but have somehow not managed to find the time, which is a terrible excuse... I know. :)
First of all, I just want to tell you how much I love your son. I love him as if he were my own nephew. He has definitely found a special place in my heart. Our 4 kids are as equally fond of him, except for our youngest little girl, Eden, who is COMPLETELY in love with "Elda Koosha". She spends the majority of our sacrament waiving to him and giving him enthusiastic thumbs up. And she completely lights up every time she sees him. I think it's safe to say he's a pretty big fan of her too.
So, as you know, Elder Kershaw has a new companion named Elder Baldez. We had them over for Sunday dinner and they had just been a brand new companionship as of that week. We also had my parents in town visiting from Salt Lake joining us for dinner. I was really excited for my parents to meet your son since he's quickly become a favorite of mine. My parents have actually just recently returned from being MTC presidents in the Dominican Republic, so it was fun for them to be with the Elders and talk to them.
My parents thought your son was a great young man and wanted me to tell you that! You did a good job Allison. :)
After dinner they did their usual quick lesson and spiritual thought and were promptly out the door. This time Elder Kershaw actually took dessert with him since he finally stopped his diet. I've been trying to convince him for some time now that diets are no fun.
