Whitehouse, Texas

Dear Family,
Whitehouse is good, we do lots of service which I love. It is definitely East Texas. Low income area, very different than Coppell. But I am glad to be out of the city. The ward has had some poor missionaries in the past, so I am going to work hard to regain their trust. I spoke in church on Sunday.

My companion is Elder Hahn from Centerville, Utah. We have very different personalities, but I will work hard. He came to Texas the same time I did. We did some service at a local food bank this last week. Count your many blessings, there are some very poor people in this country.

One of the families I met in the ward is the Atwoods, they own a cowboy hat shop and a ranch. I have a feeling I am going to get along well with them. We had dinner there on Sunday, it was so cool! I offered to do a lot of service for them. Whitehouse is a  small town, about the size of Middleton. It is good here, I will work hard and love the people.

Take care at home. Love always,
Elder Kershaw
