This has been a great week. I loved our Zone Conference. We talked a lot about Doctrine and Covenants section 4...
1 Now behold, a marvelous work is about to come forth among the children of men.
2 Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day.
4 For behold the field is white already to harvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in store that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul;
5 And faith, hope, charity and love, with an eye single to the glory of God, qualify him for the work.
6 Remember faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, brotherly kindness, godliness, charity, humility, diligence.
This was Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet to his father, Joseph Smith Sr., at Harmony, Pennsylvania, February 1829.
I almost have this memorized and I have been studying this and my Patriarchal Blessing. Read yours and see what it says about the second coming.The work is progressing here in Coppell. We are teaching some guys we play basketball with and hopefully they will take what we teach them to heart. I have thought about home and the farm a lot this week. I try not to, but I just can't stop. I'm OK, I know why I'm out here and I love my mission and the people I serve.
Can you put more money on my card? I need some more shoes, I walk or bike on pavement all day and it just kills my shoes. Please send some pictures, I love them. It helps me know everything is OK back home. I love you all and have a wonderful week. Happy Birthday Amanda!
Love y'all so much, Let 'er buck!
