Getting to know Texas folks...

Hello dear family it has been a busy week. We have visited a lot of the members in our ward and they are great people.  Anyone that says a mission is easy is crazy because this is the hardest thing mentally I have ever done. I am in the middle of a bunch of rich subdivisions and the people in Coppell are nice but it is hard to find people to listen to us. It is a lot different than what I expected. I have been out on my mission almost a month and still have not gone in someone’s house to teach them. But I know that I am here for a reason it is to bring people unto Christ.

I have ridden my bike so much and I have lost my Idaho milk gut. (I have lost weight). But it is fun here I have a wonderful companion and I get to meet a lot of cool people. Tracting can be interesting, we have gotten yelled at twice and doors slammed all the time but we just smile and say their loss our gain… we have the spirit with us.
I ride my bike all the time. Thursday we rode clear to Irving and it was all hills I was so tired after that the whole time I wanted to trade out for a horse. You can take the boy from his home but not the home from the boy. That’s OK I’m doing the Lords work. This is the hardest but best work anyone can do. I can feel I have so much help from the other side; Grandpa and the Savior are always with me. Its amazing how doing the work of the Lord you have so much help to get you through rough times.
I know this church is true without a doubt in my mind I know that the prophet Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he restored Christ’s church for these latter days. Stay close to the lord I challenge all of you to study the doctrine of Christ you will gain a deeper love of this his great gospel. I love you all so much tell grandma I love her. Take care of the dogs and horses I know you will.
Love you all. Let er buck

There is a lot of people from India in my area. They are rich, live in big mansions and own hotels in Dallas. They are nice people but not really interested in what we have to say. Dad was right I feel so much better when I get to work even though it’s hard I still feel better when I work.
