Today was a special day for us and a day we have thought about for many years. While we had taught Jonathan the gospel and that the Lord needs Missionaries to teach the gospel, it was ultimately his decision if he would go on a mission. For the last 6 months all Jonathan has talked about and prepared for was serving a mission. Now that the time has come, Jonathan is ready to Serve with tall broad shoulders, ready to do some good.
He has been a joy to have in our home and added so much to our family. We are proud of the young man he has become, and excited for the adventure ahead.
Jonathan gave a talk on discerning truth and error. It is important to study and learn and then pray about what we feel. The Holy Ghost will witness to us the truth. He shared his testimony of the restored gospel. He shared how he loves the Book of Mormon, a second witness of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Elder Kershaw is ready to go and teach the people of Texas about Jesus Christ and his Atoning sacrifice for all who come unto Him.
