In the October 2012 General Conference President Monson announced that young men could leave on their mission at age 18. Jonathan was excited and met with the Bishop the next morning. After a month of filling out papers and Dr. Appointments, he sent in his call to Salt Lake. He anxiously awaited the mail for the next few weeks. Finally the day after Thanksgiving at 1:00 the mail came and in it was a big white envelope from SLC Utah.
